The Scream List: Terms of Use
Last Updated: May 27, 2026
1. Intellectual Property
All screenplays and concepts featured are the sole intellectual property of their respective authors. Requesting or accessing a script through The Scream List does not grant any rights, options, or ownership to produce, adapt, or distribute the work. All subsequent industry negotiations must be conducted directly with the author or their designated representative.
2. Authorized Industry Use
The Scream List is a curated repository provided exclusively for producers, development executives, literary managers, agents, and filmmakers to discover vetted horror material. Use of this platform for automated data scraping, unsolicited marketing, services promotion, or spamming writers is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the network.
3. Secure Tracking & Verification
To protect the privacy and proprietary data of our writers, Killer Shorts monitors and logs all script request submissions; including the requester’s name, provided industry details, email address, and IP address. This data is handled securely and is used solely to log professional interest and facilitate direct connections.
4. Limitation of Liability
Killer Shorts acts strictly as a facilitating platform for creative discovery. While we feature curated scripts, we do not legally vet the corporate or legal standing of every requester. Killer Shorts is not liable for any creative disputes, chain-of-title issues, copyright claims, or failed contract negotiations that may occur following an introduction.
5. Security & Bot Protection
To maintain a secure environment for our platform and writers, this site is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Questions regarding these terms can be directed to the Killer Shorts administration.
